The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on May 29, this year, in the information event for the members of the Singerei Business Incubator, organized by the Association of Professional and Business Women of Moldova.

The target group of the activity was the entrepreneurs who are members of the Business Incubator from Singerei district.

The principal consultant in the Communication and Training Division of AGEPI, Andrei Moisei, spoke to the participants about the importance of intellectual property in the development of a business. During the presentation, various aspects related to the means of individualizing products and services were addressed, with a special emphasis on the role of intellectual property (IP) objects in the development of successful businesses, on the promotion of quality products and on consumer loyalty. The AGEPI specialist emphasized the importance of respecting exclusive rights in trademarks and other IP objects, both in the domestic and export markets. He also provided recommendations on strengthening the management of the portfolio of intellectual property objects held by local public authorities.

The principal specialist in the Communication and Training Division of AGEPI, Alina Fodea, spoke about the services provided by AGEPI, namely how economic agents can benefit from them, as well as the role of services in starting a business. The AGEPI specialist showed, in a practical way, on the AGEPI website, where the information about the services provided by the institution, as well as the related fees, is placed.

AGEPI is actively involved in promoting the field of intellectual property in the Republic of Moldova and supports entrepreneurs by providing relevant information and resources. The participation in the information event for the members of the Singerei Business Incubator is the first event in a series of others that will take place for economic agents from different regions of the country. These events come to support economic agents in the development of innovative, sustainable and competitive businesses.
