During the period 4-5 March, in Chisinau, took place the ninth edition of the local stage of the European BEST Engineering Competition EBEC. The event was organized by BEST Chisinau, exclusively for students of the Technical University of Moldova (TUM).
State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated as a partner of the contest. Attending the event, Deputy Director General of AGEPI, Andrei Popa, said that this competition is a good platform for young people to try their strength in engineering, but also to exchange ideas. AGEPI will always support inventive and ambitious young people, stressed Andrei Popa.
48 students from TUM, grouped into 12 teams, have struggled to get the title of best project in the competition. The teams were divided into two sections: Case Study and Team Design.
In the Case Study heat, the six participating teams have realized, for 8 hours, without Internet access, a project for transformation of the Chisinau city in an ecological one, using alternative energy. After the jury, in the Case Study trial won the team: ArchiTECH.

The winning students were awarded diplomas and scholarships from TUM. Participants also received prizes from partners. Thus, AGEPI has provided gifts to the winners.
