About the Hague Agreement
The Hague Agreement Concerning the International Deposit of Industrial Designs was signed in 1925 and revised by the adoption of several acts, the last being the Geneva Act signed in 1999.
The Agreement establishes an international system for the international registration of industrial designs - The Hague System - which allows the protection of industrial designs in the Member States of the Agreement with minimum formalities: filing a single application with the International Bureau of WIPO, in one of the languages of the Agreement, with the payment of a single set of fees, in a single currency.
It is administered by the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The Republic of Moldova acceded to the Hague Agreement on February 14, 1994, and in 2001 ratified the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement.
