The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), National Association of Private Companies in the Field of Information Technologies and Communications (ATIC), supported by the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications, organized on November 18, 2010, starting at 8.30 a.m., the Workshop entitled “Protection of computer programs in the Republic of Moldova”.
The purpose of the event is to inform the private sector and relevant actors on the changes caused by the new Law on Copyright and Related Rights no. 139 of 02.07.2010, in particular in the field of information technologies and communications. The initiative, part of the Strategy on development of information technologies and communications sector for 2010-2013, aims to facilitate and strengthen the dialogue between public and private environment in the context of implementing the new law.
In the workshop are invited to take part representatives of the private sector - operators, software distribution companies, entities involved in the marketing of software products, as well as representatives of public authorities and institutions vested with functions in the field of protection, prevention, identification and counteraction of infringements in the field of copyright and related rights.
