Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, Octavian Apostol, had a working meeting with H.E. Daniel Ionita, Ambassador of Romania to Moldova.

The event occasioned an exchange of ideas on the relations of cooperation in the field of intellectual property between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, as well as the identification of priority trends to strengthen them.

During the meeting, Octavian Apostol made a review of recent developments in the field of intellectual property, evoking both the successes achieved by AGEPI and the challenges facing the system after 25 years of creation.

It was also noted the excellent cooperation between the AGEPI and the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM) of Romania, and the Romanian Copyright Office (ORDA).

Amb. Daniel Ionita mentioned that Romania will continue to support the efforts of European integration of the Republic of Moldova and will provide the necessary support for the development of the intellectual property system.

The interlocutors highlighted the importance of maintaining the dialogue between institutions and have shown openness to continue it.
