The Republic of Moldova participates in the Exhibition on Geographical Indications with a virtual stand. The event takes place from September 6, 2021 to March 6, 2022 and is organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to discover geographical indications for different types of products, from a large number of WIPO Member States around the world. At the virtual stand of the Republic of Moldova are presented:
- Section 1 - Interactive Map of Traditional Moldovan Products, an interactive portal for all those interested in exploring the local cultural and gastronomic potential •
- Section 2 - Presentation of the national wine-growing and wine-making sector on the example of PGI Codru
- Section 3 - Presentation of the agro-food sector.

The event was launched at the World Symposium on Geographical Indications, also organized by WIPO, on September 6-8, 2021. Given the current global pandemic context, the 2021 edition of the Symposium takes place entirely in online format. The event brings together representatives of national administrations, producers of products with geographical indications and specialists in the field from dozens of countries. The purpose of the Symposium is to exchange ideas and perspectives on issues related to the use and protection of geographical indications, and also to provide information on the latest developments in the field of GI.
