A simulated public debate dedicated to the resolution of a dispute in the field of copyright protection in the online environment was held on December 9 at the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI). The event was organized by the European Law Students’ Association - National Group “ELSA” and is part of the list of activities carried out during the Intellectual Property Week.

This activity provided a unique opportunity for students from law faculties to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, to acquire professional skills indispensable for a lawyer, and also to develop their oratorical skills and capacity to face competition.

The students’ skills were appreciated by Andrei Moisei, principal consultant, Communication and Training Division and Lilia Gribincea, principal specialist, Copyright Department of AGEPI.

During the debate, students had the opportunity to connect to an interactive environment and ask questions to AGEPI specialists.

As a sign of appreciation for social involvement, initiative and good organization of the events dedicated to Intellectual Property Week, the Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu, presented the European Law Students’ Association - National Group “ELSA” with a diploma of merit.

We should mention that AGEPI and the European Law Students’ Association - National Group “ELSA” signed a Cooperation Agreement in the field of intellectual property in April. The Agreement involves the cooperation of the two parties in the participation or organization of instructive-informative events in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights for ELSA members; providing access to public information in the field of intellectual property and to reference information and documentation sources; providing, upon request, consultancy in the field of intellectual property, etc.
