The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications on Granting Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on July 7, in online format. The meeting was chaired by the Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, Eugeniu Rusu.

As a result of the examination, it was decided to grant permission to use the official or historical name of the state in the trademark. The field of activity of the applicant for permission refers to alcoholic beverages.

In accordance with the applicable law, trademarks, industrial designs containing the official or historical name of the State may be registered only with the consent of the Commission for Examination of Applications on Granting Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design, whose activity is regulated by Government Decision No. 8/2022.
