The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on 10 May, this year, in a mixed format, chaired by Mr. Eugeniu Rusu, Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, President of the Commission.
During the meeting, 3 requests were examined and it was decided to grant permission to use the official or historical name of the State in the following trademarks:

with the filing No. 050536,

with the No. 29252,

with the filing No. 050495.
The said trademark are to be used, according to requests, for various categories of products and services: advertising; telecommunications services; printing products; education; training; entertainment; sports and cultural activities; security services for the physical protection of material assets and people, etc.
In accordance with the legislation in force, trademarks, industrial designs containing the official or historical name of the State may be registered only with the permission of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design, whose activity is regulated by Government Decision No. 8/2022.
