The coordination meeting of the working group in management was held on May 17, this year, at the headquarters of the State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI), as the coordinating institution of the Working Group No. 7 “Intellectual Property Law”.
The meeting was attended by representatives of AGEPI, the Bureau for European Integration, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, the Center for Harmonization of Legislation and the Foundation for Education and Development. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Working Group, the Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu.
The main purpose of the meeting was to prepare for the Bilateral Screening meetings with the European Commission, an important step in the process of aligning with European norms and practices. Discussions focused on the immediate actions needed to ensure the success of these meetings. A major point of interest was the discussion of country presentations with a focus on the field of intellectual property law for bilateral screening. Participants assessed the progress made so far in this exercise and determined future actions to finalize all Chapter 7 country presentations.
In the next period, the country presentations for the Bilateral Screening meeting, related to Chapter 7, are to be finalized and approved by all the members of Working Group No. 7 and subsequently validated by the Cabinet of Ministers.
