The European Patent Office (EPO) in cooperation with the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) has launched a new page of the Espacenet database, having the interface in Romanian.
The new version of the Espacenet database for the Republic of Moldova allows national applicants to conduct searches in over 90 million patent documents using an interface with all the accompanying information translated into Romanian. Additional information can help applicants understand whether a patent has been granted and if it is still in force.
This will allow access for national applicants to the free Espacenet database, which can be used to: search and find patent publications; machine-translate patent documents; track the progress of emerging technologies; find solutions to technical problems; see what your competitors are developing, etc.
Espacenet offers free access to information about inventions and technical developments from the nineteenth century to the present.
The Romanian version of the Espacenet database can be accessed at the following address: https://md.espacenet.com/.
This project was implemented under the AGEPI-EPO Joint Program of Cooperation for the years 2016-2017, which provides for a series of activities and projects jointly carried out by the two offices and whose objective is to strengthen the patent protection system in the Republic of Moldova, including through the creation of quality tools and services for users of the intellectual property system.
