On March 14, 2013, within the premises of AGEPI, was held a working session on identifying effective solutions to ensure the enforcement of rights in computer programs and audiovisual works in Moldova, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Broadcasting Coordinating Council.
In the meeting representatives of AGEPI, MIA, PGO and BCC exchanged views on the current situation regarding the implementation of the legal and regulatory framework in the field of protection and enforcement of IP rights, the measures taken and the problems facing the responsible institutions in this area.
The participants noted the need to join efforts of state institutions responsible for ensuring the enforcement of IP rights and of rightholders in the field and established the priority activities for 2013 in order to reduce the piracy rate in the Republic of Moldova.
