Contest for Lyceum Students in the Field of Intellectual Property

Starting from September 1, 2010 and until May 2011 it is running the 3-rd Contest of the Russian Federation in the field of intellectual property for CIS lyceum students aged between 15-17 years. Its organizer is the State Institute of Intellectual Property of the Russian Federation (РГИИС), with the support of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks (Роспатент), Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RF and informational support of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO).

The Contest is in the process of obtaining the status of international competition and aims at developing knowledge and creative abilities of young people, promoting talented children, spreading and increasing interest in intellectual property, stimulating inventive and innovative trends, training the intellectual elite and, indirectly, contributing to future growth of economy of the participating countries.

Until 30 November 2010, the participants will be registered on-line on the site www.olimpiada-rgiis.ru, after which will follow the testing by electronic mail. Students who will earn the highest score will be invited to Moscow to be admitted to the II stage, which will consist of writing an essay on a topic proposed by the jury, creative exercises and games etc. Also, students will be offered the chance to participate in specialized classes, trainings, round tables, meetings with specialists renowned in the IP field, as well as an extensive cultural program.

On 22 April 2011 will take place the laureate award ceremony being offered diplomas and gifts to participants and their teachers. The winner will get a certificate entitling him to do his studies at the State Institute of Intellectual Property of the Russian Federation.
