The State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI) announces the approval of the Instructions on the provision of services for the selection and provision, upon request, of analytical and/or generalized information for intellectual property objects (IPO).
The Instructions establish the manner and conditions for the provision by AGEPI of services for the selection and provision, upon request, of analytical and/or generalized information for the intellectual property objects, the rights and obligations of the persons involved in the activity of providing the services.
The services provided by AGEPI, in the context of these Instructions, consist in receiving the application for the selection and provision of information in the field of intellectual property protection, conducting a documentary search in databases managed by AGEPI, as well as in international ones to which AGEPI has access and sending to the address of the applicant the service the results obtained by the Agency in the course of the documentary research, which are reflected in the documentary search reports duly completed.
At the request of the applicant of the service, AGEPI provides services for the selection and provision of analytical and/or generalized information for the following IPOs:
- inventions;
- plant varieties;
- trademarks;
- industrial designs;
- geographical indications/appellations of origin/traditional specialties guaranteed;
- copyright and related rights.
For the provision of services for the selection and provision of analytical and/or generalized information, the applicant of the service shall submit to AGEPI an application for the provision of services, completed in the state language, on a standard form, depending on the IPO for which the service was requested.
