Specialists of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on 19 April this year in the informative seminar entitled “Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights and Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy”, which took place in the context of the event “Open Door Day” at the National Library of the Republic of Moldova.

The purpose of the event was to identify the perception and attitude of society towards the given subject.

The seminar had as a target group pupils and teachers from the Center of Excellence in Light Industry and the Vocational School №7.

About the enforcement of intellectual property rights, the negative effects of the phenomena of counterfeiting and piracy on the economic, social and cultural development of the country, combating and countering these phenomena, spoke the principal consultant, Communication and Training Division of AGEPI, Andrei Moisei.

Leaflets, brochures and promotional materials in the field of intellectual property were distributed during the seminar.

The event ended with a round of discussions and questions.
