AGEPI participated in the Regional Conference “Entrepreneurial Education – Promoter of Society Development”

The Conference “Entrepreneurial Education - Promoter of Society Development” was held on 12 April, which is the first regional event of this type organized in the Republic of Moldova and is dedicated, on the one hand, to the recognition of the importance of public and private actors in supporting educational programs implemented by Junior Achievement Moldova, on the other hand, the importance of exchanging good practices between professors, pupils, business community and graduates of JA programs on the promotion of entrepreneurial culture.

The event was organized by Junior Achievement Moldova within the Program “Supporting Entrepreneurial Education in Europe and Eurasia”, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Moldova) and in partnership with Junior Achievement Worldwide, Junior Achievement Europe, Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova, Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Foundation “Sturza Family”, StarNet, Moldova Agroindbank, Nestle, elefant.md, Dulcinella and Metro Cash & Carry Moldova and the information support of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).

The event was attended by partners from Serbia, Romania, Macedonia, Albania, Belgium, Georgia and Bulgaria, international experts, professors from JA Moldova network, pupils and graduates of entrepreneurship and economic education programs, representatives of the business environment, donors, NGOs.

Attending the event, AGEPI representative Andrei Moisei reiterated the interest and support of AGEPI in promoting knowledge in the field of intellectual property among the younger generation as well as stimulating the creativity and innovative spirit of the pupils.

Emphasis was also placed on the importance of protecting IP objects and enforcing intellectual property rights as well as their use, the essence, components and principles of IP law in the development of a sustainable and successful business among young people.

In this context, AGEPI intends to continue its involvement in this type of events with the aim of raising the young generation’s awareness of the respect and protection of intellectual property rights, the economic importance of intellectual property in business, and the impact of creativity in the socio-economic segment of the Republic of Moldova.
