The Deputy Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Andrei Popa, participated in the events organized on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the foundation of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) and the 77th anniversary of the formation of the first institutes of academic research. The events took place on June 12 and included an exhibition entitled “Research Results of the ASM Members - For the Benefit of Society on the Path of European Integration” and a festive meeting held in hybrid format.
The exhibition organized during the event brought together significant works and discoveries of researchers and scientists from ASM and academic research institutes. This provided a broad perspective on their contributions in the field of science and technology, as well as in the development of Moldovan society as a whole.
The festive meeting, held in hybrid format, brought together representatives of the academic community, scientists and important figures in the field of research. Within it, the remarkable results achieved in scientific activity, as well as the perspectives and challenges facing the academy today were presented.
In his welcoming speech, the Deputy Director General of AGEPI conveyed to the entire academic body congratulations, wishes for health, prosperity and new achievements.
“ASM represents an institution of great national prestige which, through its prodigious activity, both in fundamental and applied research, as well as in the administration of the field of science, has recorded valuable results, at the national and world level, of major importance for the country’s economy, for the development of our society in general”, stated Andrei Popa from the rostrum.
During the celebration, the President of ASM acad. Ion Tighineanu conferred on the Director General of AGEPI Eugeniu Rusu with a diploma of gratitude for significant contributions to the development of science, support to scientific community, promotion of values and deontological principles of research and innovation, fruitful cooperation with ASM, as well as on the occasion of the Day of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
The State Agency on Intellectual Property and the Academy of Sciences of Moldova have a solid and sustainable cooperation, having many successful projects carried out in previous years. By participating in these events, AGEPI emphasized the importance of cooperation between institutions in promoting intellectual property and supporting innovation in the country. Such cooperations represent a fundamental pillar in the development and progress of the society of the Republic of Moldova, contributing to strengthening the links between the academic environment, research and the private sector.
