The State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI) invites media representatives to the Launch Conference of the Project "Strengthening Intellectual Property Rights in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine" (EU4IP), funded by the European Union (EU), and implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
The event will take place on 25 March 2024, at 14:00, at the Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel, Nistru Hall (77 Mitropolit Varlaam Street, Chisinau).
The Launch Conference will be attended by:
- Cristina Gherasimov, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration,
- Ambassador Jānis Mažeiks, Head of the EU Delegation in Chisinau,
- João NEGRÃO, Executive Director of EUIPO,
- Eugeniu Rusu, Director General of AGEPI.
Heads of intellectual property offices from Georgia, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Romania are expected to attend the event. Representatives of Moldovan public institutions and business associations will participate in the conference as potential beneficiaries of the EU4IP Project.
The EU4IP project aims to consolidate the intellectual property protection system, promote innovation and competitiveness in the EU accession countries. The EU4IP is a 4-years project, with a total budget of €4 million, co-financed by the European Commission with €2.8 million and by the EUIPO with €1.2 million.
