AGEPI has Successfully Completed the Recertification of ISO 9001: 2008 in Quality Management


This week, the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) has successfully completed the external audit to assess the degree of implementation of the Quality Management System requirements implemented within AGEPI in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.

The recertification audit was conducted by SRAC CERT Company LLC in Romania, a member of the International Certification Network IQNet.

The team of external auditors met with AGEPI administration, heads of subdivisions and specialists of the Agency and verified the compliance with the requirements of system procedures and processes implemented within AGEPI in compliance with the functions and responsibilities of the institution.

During the external audit summarizing meeting, Deputy Director General of AGEPI, Andrei Popa, said that by obtaining recertification of Quality Management System, it is recognized the ongoing commitment of the State Agency on Intellectual Property to increase the quality of services provided in the intellectual property protection field. Applying international quality standards is for the benefit of applicants first of all, and also of the entire society, said Andrei Popa.

The first ISO 9001:2008 certificate for AGEPI, accompanied by the IQNet International Certificate, was issued as far back as 2013.

Ownership by AGEPI of the Quality Management System - ISO 9001:2008 Certificate ensures that the Agency’s services meet the quality requirements, prescribed by documentation, elaborated in accordance with international standards. Thus, customers can be confident that they benefit and will continue to benefit from quality services.

Obtaining the ISO 9001:2008 Certificate is an additional argument of credibility, recognized internationally, allowing AGEPI to advance in its daily activity and raise to a high level the quality of services provided.
