AGEPI participated in the Intellectual Property Congress in Warsaw

The Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Eugeniu Rusu, participated in the period September 21-22, 2023, in the international Congress with the main title “Protection of Intellectual Property - Future Challenges and Trends” held in Warsaw, Poland. This event was organized as part of the celebrations of the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Patent Office and the Polish industrial property system.

The Congress attracted intellectual property experts and professionals, researchers, government representatives from numerous countries to the Polish capital to discuss current challenges and trends in the field of intellectual property protection and its impact on innovation. The central theme of the event was the relationship between intellectual property and innovation.

During the event, Eugeniu Rusu emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the exchange of ideas in promoting innovation and protecting intellectual property. He also mentioned the key role that intellectual property plays in shaping sustainable innovation systems.

Present at the event, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Daren Tang, expressed sincere congratulations to the Polish Patent Office and mentioned the primary role of cooperation between intellectual property offices and WIPO, especially in the context where the intellectual is in continuous evolution.

The participants in the event addressed a number of current topics, such as the impact of emerging technologies on intellectual property, the evolution of the digital market and its regulation, the importance of protecting copyrights in the online environment and more. Challenges related to the protection of intellectual property in the context of global technological and economic evolution were also discussed.

The Congress also provided an important platform for the establishment of international partnerships and the exchange of best practices in the field of intellectual property. The participants had the opportunity to learn from the experience of other countries and to identify common solutions to current problems.
