Study Visit to AGEPI: AFJ Members Expand Their Knowledge of Intellectual Property

05/31/2023

A study visit by the graduates of the sixth edition of the “Action for Justice” program launched by the Public Association “Action for Justice” (AFJ) , with the support offered by the Hanns Seidel Foundation - Republic of Moldova took place on May 31 to the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).

AFJ representatives were welcomed by the Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu, after which they participated in an interactive lesson presented by Andrei Moisei, principal consultant, Communication and Training Division of AGEPI. This lesson focused on lesser known and deeper aspects of the field of intellectual property.

Finally, the study visit to AGEPI offered the graduates of the “Action for Justice” program the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the national intellectual property protection system and to understand its importance in the context of the development of society and the economy.

Also, the study visit further strengthened the cooperation between AGEPI and AFJ. The Cooperation Agreement recently signed between the two entities demonstrates their common commitment to the promotion and protection of intellectual property in the Republic of Moldova. Through joint efforts, AGEPI and AFJ aim to use the intellectual and material potential they possess, contributing to the creation of a culture of respect for intellectual property rights among AFJ members and the entire community.

Action for Justice is the national training platform for young lawyers and political leaders, which aims at professional and personal training through non-formal education and the relationship with institutions and actors in the legal system. One of the goals is to develop a network of active young people, with a high level of professionalism and integrity in their future careers.
