On 30 May this year, the Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) Lilia Bolocan attended the NOTORIUM Awards Gala, 3rd edition, organized by Intellectual Property Company INTELSTART LTD. The event took place within the premises of the Holiday House in Chisinau. At the NOTORIUM Awards Gala were present about 300 top entrepreneurs from the Republic of Moldova, participants in the NOTORIUM Contest and other representatives of the business environment.

At the inauguration ceremony of the NOTORIUM Awards Gala, Lilia Bolocan, Director General of AGEPI, specified that: “Trademark protection is an important step in the activity of any company that wants to promote a product or service, differentiating it from that of competitors through distinctive features. The economic activity of a country depends largely on the presence on the market of strong trademarks, with an advanced reputation, including at international level, and with an adequate level of protection. We assure both participants in the contest and all representatives of the business environment, of the plenary support from AGEPI in the process of information and consultation on the protection of trademarks and other intellectual property objects both in the country and abroad.

Over 3,800 trademarks present on the market for 150 categories of products and services participated in the contest. The motto of the Contest was: “Everyone deserves to be recognized”. The strongest national and international trademarks present on the Moldovan market have been publicly recognized by online voting on the official website www.notorium.md and by sms-voting.

The Awards Gala also included a networking with top Moldovan entrepreneurs, a show with real battles of medieval knights, a musical recital, VIP reception with dishes and selected wines, gifts and raffles of prizes from partners.
