The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) organized, on 20 February 2020, in the precincts of the Theoretical Lyceum “Universe” from Chisinau, an interactive lesson in the field of intellectual property (IP), intended for 1st-4th grade children.
The purpose of the lesson was to familiarize children with the concept of IP, to promote respect for intellectual property created by others and to motivate them to generate their own creations.
The AGEPI specialists presented in an interactive way to the 30 children present, useful information about various IP objects, phenomena such as piracy and counterfeiting, causing them to become involved in intellectual games. Also, comic booklets have been disseminated, in which the subject of intellectual property is exposed in a simple and accessible language.
This lesson was elaborated within the project “Intellectual Property Rights Raising Awareness Campaign for Youth”, realized with the support of the incubator “EU Association Lab”, within the ImpAcT Program (Implementation of DCFTA supporting activities in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia) funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Subsequently, AGEPI specialists intend to promote the lesson in all schools of the Republic of Moldova, for 1st-4th grade children.
