On 2 February this year, the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI), with the support of the EU VIP4SME Project “Value IP for SMEs”, organized a Workshop entitled “Three Opportunities Offered by Intellectual Property for ntrepreneurial Development”.
The event took place in the Conference Hall of the central pavilion of IEC “Moldexpo” JSC. The Workshop was organized within the National Exhibition “Made in Moldova”, which takes place at IEC Moldexpo JSC from 31 January to 4 February 2018, under the aegis of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
The Workshop was attended by representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises from different sectors of the national economy, both from the center and the territory, including the participants in the exhibition, specialists from AGEPI, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, etc.
The event was moderated by Svetlana Munteanu, Counselor of AGEPI Director General.
During the workshop were brought up for discussion the most important aspects related to the role of intellectual property in attracting consumers, increasing competitiveness and strengthening the capital of the enterprise. Also, some practical recommendations on the management of intellectual property objects, the specificity and role of their protection at national and international level, have been proposed, taking into account the need for business development under conditions of increased competition.
The Workshop was organized with the support of the project “Value Intellectual Property for SMEs - VIP4SME”, to which AGEPI is an associated partner. The VIP4SME project is funded through the European Union’s Research and Innovation Program HORIZON 2020 and aims to develop business support services in the field of intellectual property provided to SMEs.
