State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) announces the launch of the Contest for the Creation of an Image with the Theme “Digital Creativity: Culture Reimagined”.

The purpose of the contest is to promote information in the field of intellectual property, stimulate creativity and innovation process of the population, and for carrying out activities devoted to World Intellectual Property Day in the Republic of Moldova, which traditionally is celebrated on April 26.

The image must be within the theme: “Digital Creativity: Culture Reimagined”, to be a personal and original creation of the author (or group of authors) and to be a graphical representation: words, letters, numbers, other figurative elements or combinations thereof. An author (or group of authors) can present to contest no more than 3 different images.

In the contest can participate natural persons, by filling in the request for participation in electronic format at the following address: https://goo.gl/P0sZnI. The image can be emailed to the address: victoria.severin@agepi.gov.md in format.jpg,.jpeg or.png, till April 1, 2016.

In the period 2 – 20 April 2016, all images submitted by the candidates will be placed in a special album dedicated to the contest on the official Facebook page of AGEPI (https://www.facebook.com/AGEPI/). The number of distributions, likes, and comments will be taken into account on evaluation of works by members of the Organizing Committee. Also, on the analysis of works will be taken into account image originality, design creativity and image representativeness in relation to the proposed theme.

The author of the most successful image will receive a monetary prize of 2,000 lei. Those who will rank second and third will receive diplomas and prizes.

Contest totals will be announced on April 26, during the festive meeting dedicated to World Intellectual Property Day, which will take place at the AGEPI, with the presentation of images that were ranked in positions I, II and III.

World Intellectual Property Day theme this year is “Digital Creativity: Culture Reimagined”. Since 2000, this day is celebrated annually in accordance with the decision of the General Assembly of Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
