Today, December 3, 2025, at the Moldexpo International Exhibition Center, the official inauguration of the International Specialized Exhibition :INFOINVENT 2025” took place - an event that, after two consecutive editions held online, returned in physical format with over 400 inventions, innovative projects and creative products from the Republic of Moldova, Romania and other participating countries.
The event, now in its 19th edition, is organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Culture, the National Agency for Research and Development, the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research, in cooperation with the European Union Intellectual Property Office, with the support of the EU-funded Project “Strengthening Intellectual Property Rights in Moldova and Ukraine” (EU4IP).
The official opening brought together representatives of authorities, research institutions, academia, international partners and numerous guests.
The event was inaugurated by Natalia Mogol, Deputy Director General of AGEPI, who emphasized the role of the exhibition in promoting innovation, creativity and cooperation between national and international institutions, mentioning the importance of youth participation and the connection between research, education and economy.
The Minister of Culture, Cristian Jardan, noted the essential role of creativity in the development of society and spoke about the need to valorize cultural heritage through contemporary technologies and approaches.
Daniela Elenciuc, President of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research, emphasized the importance of quality in education and research, noting that innovation is strengthened when academic skills are supported by solid evaluation and development mechanisms.
The President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, acad. Ion Tighineanu, as Chair of the Jury, spoke about the high level of the works exhibited this year and the need for young researchers to be encouraged, supported and connected to international research ecosystems.
On behalf of the National Agency for Research and Development, Eugenia Tofan highlighted the cooperation between institutions and the research community, as well as the role of competitive funding in creating impactful results.
At the end of the official interventions, the Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu, addressed a message of appreciation in which he emphasized the role of INFOINVENT as a “central pillar of the national innovation ecosystem”. He noted that the exhibited works reflect not only the creativity, but also the maturity of the research and entrepreneurial environment in the Republic of Moldova, while thanking the partners and authors for their contribution. In his intervention, he emphasized the importance of intellectual property as a foundation for the sustainable exploitation of innovations.
A greeting message came from the guests from Romania. Dr. Nicolae-Valentin Vlăduț, Director General of INMA Bucharest, present at the exhibition with a complex stand and 20 works, emphasized the openness and constant cooperation between the research communities of the Republic of Moldova and Romania, mentioning that INFOINVENT is “a real bridge between ideas, people and solutions applicable in the economy”.
After the official opening, guests participated in a guided tour of the exhibition, discovering projects from various fields: from emerging technologies and technology transfer to youth creation and creative industries.
One of the most appreciated moments was the presentation of the artistic and technological installation “Woven Hills”, created by students of the Technical University of Moldova under the coordination of designer Mihai Stamati, which attracted attention by combining tradition with technology in an innovative visual form.
During the day, the 7th edition of the International Innovation Conference “Youth, Technology and Intellectual Property: Innovating Tomorrow’s Future Today” took also part, held in cooperation with the European Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
The INFOINVENT program continues as follows:
- December 4 – evaluation of the works by the Commission of Experts and the holding of the National Seminar “Geographical Indications: the Value of Local Traditions and Development Prospects for the Republic of Moldova”, organized together with the Union of Folk Craftsmen of Moldova and the Swiss PartnershIP Project;
- December 5 – closing of the exhibition and INFOINVENT 2025 laureate award ceremony.
Through its scale and diversity, INFOINVENT 2025 reconfirms the crucial role of research, creativity and intellectual property protection in the development of society. The event contributes to strengthening relations between academia, the private sector, young innovators and international partners.
