In the period of September 27-29, 2006 in Sevastopol, Ukraine, will take place the II International Exhibition of Inventions and New Technologies ”Novoe Vremea”. There will take part both inventors from Ukraine and the foreign inventors, from Canada, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Russian Federation, Estonia, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Azerbaijan, guests will represent over 150 inventions.
Traditionally, in the period of September 25-October 3 in Geneva will take place the 42-th session of the General Meeting of the WIPO member states. The Republic of Moldova is represented by Stefan Novac, Director general of AGEPI and Liliana Vieru, Deputy head of the Promotion and publishing Department of the AGEPI.
According to the tradition, in the period of September 25 – October 3 will take place 42-th General Session of WIPO States-Members. The Republic of Moldova is represented by Stefan Novac, General Director of AGEPI and Liliana Vieru, deputy manager of Promotion and Publishing Department.
Recently AGEPI organized a quarterly meeting of the representatives in industrial property. The meeting was open by Stefan Novac, Director General of AGEPI. In the agenda there were included following questions: representation of the draft of the Law on the protection of plant varieties; new drafts in the Informational Technologies and amendments in the informational system of AGEPI; methods of providing the intellectual property; presentation of new books in the library of AGEPI.
On September 7-8, 2006 the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) will organize in Moscow, Russia, the International Conference “The world Patenting System: nowadays situation and prospective of the development”, dedicated the 10-th anniversary of EAPO.
In accordance with the plan of jubilee actions approved by the Government, on August 22-27 in the Republic of Moldova will take place a set of official and cultural-artistic manifestations in occasion of 15-th anniversary of proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Moldova.

On April, 18-19 this year annual scientific - practical Symposium " Lecturi AGEPI " was held in the framework of the events organized on the occasion of the World Intellectual Property Day, which will be marked on April 26. The main purpose of the IXth Symposium was popularization and promotion of intellectual property.
The Euroasian Patent Office (EAPO) announces the filling of the vacancies this year, namely chief examiner and the principal examiner of the Division of Chemistry and Medicine ( Directorate of Examination). Competition is carried out according to Regulation on filling of the vacant posts, authorized by EAPO, order Nо.24 from June 1,1998.
Documents for participation in the competition should be sent to the EAPO till May 1, 2006.
Contest "The best trademark" is annually held on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
This event undoubtedly represents the duly and useful action of the high importance for economic agents of country which purpose is contribute to the competition of the enterprises by means of creation and promotion of trademarks on internal and a foreign market.
