On September 20, 2007 in the conference hall of AGEPI will take place the round table “Realization of the objectives of the Plan of actions RM-EU in the field of intellectual property” the aim of which is providing the process of cooperation with the nongovernmental organizations of the civil society in order to realize the objectives of the Plan of actions RM-EU, compartment related to the field of “Intellectual and industrial property rights”.
In the period of the current August 24 to 26, in occasion of the festivity day of the town, in Soroca Palace of Culture took place Expo-fair “SorConsumExpo-2007”. The ceremony of inauguration was represented by Mr. Vladimir Ceban, the director of the Soroca office Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mrs. Tatiana Puga, Director LTD “Stanimir”from the same town.

In the period of August 22-24, 2007 in the “A.Russo” Scientific library of the State University in Balti took place the Annual Conference of the Association of Libraries of the Republic of Moldova (ABRM) with a title “The permanent training – the inherent requirement of the informational society and knowledge”. About 200 representatives of the public, university, specialized, school libraries of the republic, as well as guests from Bucharest, Iasi, Galatz took part in this event.
On August 21, 2007 in the Palace of the Republic in Chisinau took place the II-d Congress of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Republic of Moldova. The 1444 members of the CCI were represented by 163 delegates. Mr. Vladimir Voronin, the President of the country, taking part in the work of the Congress assessed the activity of the institution, being the permanent support for the businessmen of the Republic of Moldova and a promoter of their interests abroad.
In accordance with the Art. 49 (1) of the Agreement on the Partnership and Cooperation between RM and EU the Republic of Moldova assumes obligations “to raise the level of protection of the intellectual, industrial and commercial property rights in order to provide till the end of the five year period after enter in force of this Agreement the level of protection analogous to the Unity one, including the efficient measures for realization thereof”.
In order to provide the process of cooperation with the nongovernmental organizations – promoters of the civil social interests – the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) organizes the round table dedicated to the problems relating to the harmonization of the legislation of the Republic of Moldova with the Community Acquis in the field of intellectual property protection that will take place on July 19, 2007, at 1400.
Today, on July 4, 2007 in 9.00-13.30 in the conference hall of the Jolly Alon hotel (Maria Cibotari str.37) will take place the round table “Presentation of the draft of the law on protection of the copyright and related rights in the Republic of Moldova in the light of the best European practice”.
