The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on October 19, this year, in the opening of the International Specialized Exhibition “Moldagrotech (autumn)”, 42nd edition, which takes place from October 19 to 22, 2023, at Moldexpo. This specialized autumn exhibition is organized by the International Exhibition Center Moldexpo, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, and represented an important opportunity for AGEPI to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of information in the field of intellectual property.

The Third Special Session of the Standing Committee of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on the Law of Trademarks, Industrial Designs (IDs) and Geographical Indications (GIs) was held from October 2 to 6, 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland (SCT/S3).

The International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) published, on September 30, 2023, the list of symbols, the protection of which was requested under Article 6ter of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property.

The 10th meeting of the Republic of Moldova – European Union Association Committee in Trade Configuration took place on 5-6 October 2023, in Chisinau.

The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) and the Anti-Counterfeiting Association REACT of Romania organized on September 29, a seminar in the field of protection of intellectual property rights and the fight against counterfeiting. The event brought together representatives of institutions from the Republic of Moldova, such as the General Police Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Customs Service, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumer Protection and the Courts Administration Agency.
