The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on November 9, this year, in online format. The meeting was chaired by the Vice-President of the Commission, Head of the International Economic Cooperation Directorate, Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, Cristina Ceban.
The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO), is organizing on November 22, in online format, the 6th edition of the International Innovation Conference entitled "Women in Innovation and Business: Inspiring, Involving, Investing".
By Order of the Director General of AGEPI No. 146 of October 27, 2023 on the application of the 2024 version of the 12th edition of the International Classification of Gs and Services for the Purposes of Registration of Marks (ICGS), issued pursuant to the decision of the Committee of Experts of the Nice Union (adopted at its 33rd session of 2023), starting with January 1, 2024, the 2024 version of the 12th edition of ICGS is implemented.
According to point 1 of the Order:
The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated from October 31 to November 1, 2023, in the “National Seminar on Intellectual Property and Education”, an event held in Bucharest, Romania, by the Romanian Copyright Office (ORDA) in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM), the Ministry of Education and the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest.
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) invites interested persons to participate in the High-Level Dialogue on Indigenous Peoples, Traditional Cultural Expressions and Fashion, as well as the Award Ceremony for the Photography Prize for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities Youth, edition 2023.
The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated from October 25 to 27, 2023, in the 21st edition of the International Exhibition of Research, Innovations and Inventions PRO INVENT, held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

From 23-24 October, this year, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) organized the 21st Liaison Meeting on Cooperation and the 30th Liaison Meeting on Trademarks.
Experts from the intellectual property offices of the EU Member States, candidate countries as well as representatives from the international intellectual property associations and organizations met to discuss the latest developments in the field of international cooperation as well as in the field of trademarks.

An information visit by the members of the European Law Students’ Association - ELSA National Group “ELSA Republic of Moldova” took place on October 24, this year, at the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI). This occasion gave students the opportunity to learn more about the importance and role of intellectual property in society.
