Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) Viorel Iustin met, on 12 February this year, with 60 students from the Business and Business Administration Department, III-year, discipline “Innovation Management”, Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM).
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize young people with the national system of protection, enforcement and exploitation of intellectual property rights (IP) and innovation management.
Viorel Iustin welcomed the young students, mentioning that AGEPI will always focus on educating young people in developing skills and competitive spirit, forming a communication environment between young people passionate about the field of intellectual property and favoring the exchange of opinions and experience.
Subsequently, AGEPI specialists organized for the students of ASEM an interactive hour about the importance of registering the IP objects, where the participants were active and interested in the topics discussed. They asked questions regarding the registration procedure of inventions, trademarks, geographical indications, registration fees, as well as general questions related to the legislation in the field, about the services offered by AGEPI, etc.
At the end of the study visit, the ASEM students appreciated and thanked the host for the acquired knowledge, expressing their interest in the field of intellectual property and taking internships within AGEPI.
