The winner of the Government Award for Most Outstanding Inventor of 2017 was named Victor Covaliov, doctor, associate professor at the Chemistry and Chemical Technology Department of the State University of Moldova. A decision in this regard was approved on March 21, during the meeting of the Cabinet of ministers.
Victor Covaliov will be rewarded with ten thousand lei, allotted from the Government’s reserve fund, for the cycle of inventions in the field of ecology. The winner was selected by the members of the International Jury during the 15th edition of the Specialized International Exhibition “Infoinvent”, organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property in Chisinau, during the period 15-18 November 2017.
Victor Covaliov is one of the most active and famous inventors in the Republic of Moldova. Up to now, he filed with the AGEPI the largest number of patent applications – 269. Many of the inventions are in the field of ecology, for which he is named in international specialized journals “inventor of green technologies and guardian of purity”. Second in this top ranks the daughter of the winner of the Government Award “Outstanding Inventor” Olga Covaliova, who filed 266 patent applications with the AGEPI.
The exhibition “Infoinvent” is an intellectual property and innovation forum, through which inventors and innovative enterprises have the opportunity to promote their products and technologies, initiate cooperation agreements and contribute to the development of innovative products and services.
