The representatives of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated from February 26 to 27, this year, in two information sessions in the field of intellectual property organized as part of the Career Week for students from the Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance (CEEF).
The main purpose of the information sessions was to promote and disseminate information on the national intellectual property (IP) system and to strengthen IP knowledge among students.
During the first information session, Andrei Moisei, principal consultant, Communication and Training Division of AGEPI, spoke to the students about general aspects of the role and purpose of intellectual property, about IP objects, the necessity, advantages and methods of their protection. The dangers of counterfeiting and piracy and their negative impact on society were also discussed. The event took place in the premises of the Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance.
On the second day, the students had a study visit to the AGEPI headquarters, where they were welcomed by Eugeniu Rusu, Director General of AGEPI. He presented relevant aspects of copyright and related rights, giving students a detailed insight into the importance of protecting intellectual property in today’s digital society.
We should mention that one of AGEPI’s permanent priorities is information and training in the field of intellectual property, while also encouraging interest in this field among young people.
These events were an important opportunity for students to learn about and interact with intellectual property professionals, thus contributing to their professional development and understanding of this essential field in today’s world of business and technology.
