On 19 June this year, within the premises of the European Parliament, took place the presentation of prizes of the International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and Caspian Sea (BSCSIF) for 2012. At the ceremony were presented prizes to outstanding personalities at European level and member countries of BSCSIF which have achieved notable successes in the areas of interest to the Black Sea and Caspian Sea region such as: economic development during the global financial crisis; innovational approach to economic development; ensuring peace and dialogue among civilizations; European integration; ecology and environmental protection, etc. Among prize-winning countries is also Republic of Moldova, which won the Prize for outstanding achievements in the field of European integration, in particular, for association to the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for research, technological development and demonstration activities (2007-2013).
