On January 16, this year, at the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) were organized public debates on the Draft Law for amending and completing the Law No. 139 of 2 July 2010 on Copyright and Related Rights, with the participation of both representatives of air and cable broadcasting organizations and right holders (authors, performers, producers of phonograms, producers of videograms) in the Republic of Moldova.
The State Agency on Intellectual Property has expressed its openness to promote a draft law to be agreed by all actors in the process.
We should mention that representatives of air or cable broadcasting organizations as well as right holders have come up with constructive proposals on the draft Law for amending and completing the Law on Copyright and Related Rights.
Through the amendments found in the discussed project, AGEPI promotes copyright at a higher level of transparency and assures the civic equity of all parties concerned in copyright and related rights.
