By Order of the Director General of AGEPI no. 237 of 17 December 2014, issued by decision of the Committee of Experts of the Nice Union on the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks (adopted at the 24th session of April 2014), from 1 January 2015 it is implemented the 2015 version of the 10th edition of the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks (ICGS).

According to paragraph 1 of the Order:

a) in all applications for registration of marks with the filing date later than the date of 01.01.2015 goods and/or services will be classified in accordance with the 2015 version of the 10th edition of ICGS;

b) will not be reclassified goods and/or services:

• included in the applications with the filing date prior to the date of 01.01.2015;
• upon renewal of the registration of marks;

c) in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee of Experts of the Nice Union, AGEPI will introduce the abbreviation “NCL (10-2015)” for the list of goods and services in the delivered documents, published materials and certificates of registration of marks.
