The 16th edition of the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” has designated its winners. The award ceremony took place on November 22, at Moldexpo.
Thus, the approximately 450 works exhibited at the stands were appreciated by the Commission of Experts and the International Jury of the exhibition with the following distinctions: gold medals - 140, silver medals - 80 and bronze medals - 80.
Also, the inventions presented were appreciated with trophies, cups, diplomas and special mentions both by the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) and the national partners, and also with special mentions by the international institutions present at the event.
During the award ceremony, AGEPI Interim Director General Andrei Popa mentioned that: “Through this exhibition we managed to provide the necessary framework for promoting the results of the work of researchers and inventors in the atmosphere of an event that enjoyed the attention of the mass media representatives, the public and business people, interested in developing their business on a modern innovative basis. It was precisely this purpose that the organizers of the event set themselves as an object - promotion of industrial property objects, new products and technologies, stimulation of innovative activity, exchange of scientific-technical and normative-legislative information. I wish the inventors, the researchers, the representatives of the innovative enterprises, as well as the creative people to capitalize on their works, to obtain financing and to contribute to the progress of the Republic of Moldova,” added Andrei Popa.
The most important distinction awarded under the ISE “INFOINVENT” is the Award of the Government of the Republic of Moldova for Outstanding Inventor. In this edition, the great prize went to the inventor Nicolae Eremia, for the cycle of inventions in the field of veterinary medicine, State Agricultural University of Moldova.
Traditionally, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) distinctions for the most active inventors and innovative institutions are presented within the framework of the exhibition.
Thus, the WIPO Gold Medal for Inventors was awarded to Valeriu Cerempei, Dr. Hab., university lecturer, inventor in the field of agricultural technology.
The WIPO Intellectual Property Enterprise Trophy was awarded to the State University of Moldova.
At the same time, during the current edition of the Exhibition INFOINVENT, the Gold Medal for Creativity of the World Intellectual Property Organization, namely to the DanceSport Club “Codreanca”, Founder and Artistic Director Petru Guzun, was also awarded to highlight the notoriety of the DanceSport as a world-class interpretive art with of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the universal values sports encompass - excellence, respect and fair play, in the context of the World Intellectual Property Day, which in 2019 has the theme: Faster, stronger, higher! Reach for Gold: Intellectual Property and Sports.
Next, the team of inventors formed of Ion Bostan, Viorel Bostan, Valeriu Dulgheru, Marin Gutu, Oleg Ciobanu, Radu Ciobanu, Vitalie Gladis, Maxim Vaculenco and Alexandru Toaca received the AGEPI Grand Prix “Best Invention” for the cycle of inventions - wind turbine with vertical and horizontal axis, Technical University of Moldova.
The AGEPI Award “Best Invention Created by a Woman Inventor”, at national level, went to Alina Trofim, for the cycle of inventions in the field of microbiology and biotechnology, State University of Moldova. At international level, the award was presented to Henriette Szilagyi, for the cycle of inventions relating to cement, reinforced concrete, heat-insulating panels, etc., National Institute for R&D in Construction, Urban Planning and Sustainable Territorial Development, Romania.
AGEPI presented the “Best Invention Created by a Young Inventor” Award of the Republic of Moldova to Roman Rusnac, for an invention in the field of chemistry and medicine, State University of Moldova. The Award “Best Invention Created by a Young Inventor” from abroad was presented to Dimitrie-Cristian Fodor, for a device for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iasi.
The AGEPI Award “Most Successful Industrial Design” went to Arina Popov, for the cultural clothing model metamorphosis, Technical University of Moldova.
At the same time, AGEPI presented the “Most Successful Plant Variety” Award to Comanici Ion, “Alexandru Ciubotaru” National Botanical Garden.
The AGEPI Award “Most Representative Participation in the Exhibition” was presented to the State University of Moldova and to the National Institute for R&D in Construction, Urban Planning and Sustainable Territorial Development, Romania.
We should mention that the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” was organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property and the International Exhibition Center (I.E.C.) “Moldexpo” J.S.C., in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and the National Agency for Research and Development.
The exhibition was attended by approximately 80 institutions and enterprises, young creators and inventors from about 10 countries, who presented at the exhibition stands over 450 inventions, innovative and creative products/services, innovative and innovation and technology transfer projects, etc.
The International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” represents an ideal environment for business meetings between inventors, researchers and representatives of the investment sector. It is a major event for the entire scientific and innovative community of the Republic of Moldova.
