State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) announces the innovative and scientific community of the republic about the launch of the Contest “INVENTION OF THE YEAR-2011”, eighth edition.
The purpose of this competition is to popularize and support inventive activity in our country, to stimulate the holders of titles of protection for inventions in order to implement into production the results of intellectual developments and involve national investors in the process of exploitation of inventions in the technical-scientific field.
At the contest will be permitted works disclosed in patents for invention and issued by AGEPI or foreign IP offices over the last three years, which have a positive impact on the development of national economy, addressing of issues related to the current human necessities, performing operations, transporting, chemistry, food industry, textiles, mechanical engineering, electricity, physics and other fields.
Priority will be given to inventions, whose exploitation in production has resulted in tangible economic effects.
The conditions for participation in the competition are exhibited in the Regulation on organization and conduct of the Contest “Invention of the Year”.

Requests shall be submitted to the address of the Contest Organizing Committee until April 30, 2012.
Winners will be awarded prizes and diplomas of AGEPI.
The balance sheet of the contest and awarding of winners will take place in the solemn meeting devoted to the Inventor’s and Rationalizer’s Day in the Republic of Moldova, marked annually on the last Saturday of June.
