The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is organizing from October 7 to 16, 2024, an online training program entitled “Stimulating Innovation: Leadership and Advocacy Program for IP Youth Ambassadors”. This program brings together 15 youth ambassadors from 7 countries and aims to develop leadership skills and promote intellectual property (IP) rights in their communities.
Among the participants of this event is Oxana Zaporoniuc, designated by WIPO in April this year as the IP Youth Ambassador in the Republic of Moldova.
The course is structured over two weeks and includes workshops, discussion sessions and practical exercises that address important topics such as promoting intellectual property rights, delivering a persuasive speech and developing public speaking skills. The first session took place on October 7, 2024, opened by Altaye Tedla-Desta, Director of the Distance Learning Program of the WIPO Academy. The youth ambassadors had the opportunity to introduce themselves, discuss their innovations and creations and learn how to effectively promote their work.
A highlight of the program is the workshop entitled “The Art of Effective Presentation”, where participants learn to build an engaging speech and handle questions and objections from the audience. During the sessions scheduled for October 11, 2024, Oxana Zaporoniuc will participate in a workshop dedicated to public speaking, where techniques for structuring a convincing speech and for effective interaction with the public will be presented.
By participating in this training program, Oxana Zaporoniuc will strengthen her role as an active promoter of intellectual property in the Republic of Moldova, representing a model for young people in the country and contributing to the development of a strong framework for the protection of innovations and creations. Her participation in this event marks an important step in her personal and professional development, giving her the opportunity to cooperate with other young leaders from around the world and share best practices in the field of intellectual property rights protection.
The training program will conclude on October 16, 2024, with sessions focused on leadership, cultural diversity and community engagement, with the objective of training the youth ambassadors to become strong leaders in promoting intellectual property in their countries.
