During the period 25-27 March, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania was held the XIII edition of the International Exhibition of Research, Innovation and Inventions PRO INVENT. The event is organized annually by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca under the auspices of the Ministry of National Education for Scientific Research, Technological Development, Innovation, having as partners: Academy of Technical Sciences - Cluj Subsidiary, State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova, State Office for Inventions and Trademarks of Romania, Romanian Inventors Forum and Romanian Inventors Society.

This year the Exhibition brought together about 60 participants: from universities, institutes, research centers, companies, physical persons and associations of inventors of Romania, Republic of Moldova, Poland and Belarus, that exhibited over 350 works.

Republic of Moldova was present at the Exhibition “PRO INVENT – 2015” with over 70 scientific papers of inventors and researchers from 12 institutions in the republic, such as: Technical University of Moldova, University of Medicine and Pharmacy “N. Testemitanu”, State Agricultural University of Moldova, National Center of Public Health, Institute of Crop Production “Porumbeni”, Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection of ASM, ASM Botanical Garden, etc.

State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated in the Exhibition with an information stand, within which it provided information and consultancy on the national intellectual property system and promoted the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT-2015”, which will take place during the period 25 -28 November.

During the awarding ceremony, AGEPI awarded three medals: to University of Cluj-Napoca, North University Centre of Baia Mare and C.S. Hofigal J.S.C. AGEPI Trophy was awarded to the University of Sibiu for the inventions presented at the Exhibition and the high level of their implementation.

Grand Prix of the Exhibition “PRO INVENT-2015” was awarded to C.S. Romanian Optical Enterprise (IOR) Bucharest J.S.C. for its inventions in the field of opto-mechanics.

Grand Jury Prize was awarded to the team of C.S. Hofigal J.S.C. for the cycle of pharmaceutical inventions presented at the Exhibition.

In this edition, the record of awards of the Moldovan inventors included 30 medals and four special prizes. AGEPI was awarded the gold medal with special mention of the Jury for the support of Romanian inventions and promotion of the exhibition PRO INVENT.
