The laureates from the Republic of Moldova of the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” 2023 awards received their distinctions at an event held at the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).
The Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu, thanked all the participants in the event and warmly congratulated all the laureates of the 18th edition of ISE INFOINVENT. “On behalf of myself and the entire collective of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, I send my most sincere congratulations to all the laureates for the awards they received. You are remarkable people who, through your innovations, contribute to the development of society and the improvement of the quality of life. Every step you take makes a valuable contribution to scientific and technological progress, and I am convinced that the future brings many challenges and opportunities for innovators,” emphasized Eugeniu Rusu.
Present at the event, Andrei Chiciuc, President of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research, Svetlana Cojocaru, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Sergiu Harea, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, Victoria Danila, principal specialist, National Agency for Research and Development and Adriana Derevici, principal consultant, Directorate for Arts, Creative Industries and Artistic Education, Ministry of Culture expressed their appreciation for the laureates and congratulated them for their exceptional contribution to scientific and technological progress.
The laureates were honored with prestigious awards, including:
1. Award of the Government of the Republic of Moldova “Outstanding Inventor”, which was awarded to Academician Aurelian Gulea, doctor habilitate in chemical sciences, university professor, director of the Advanced Biopharmaceutical and Technical Materials Research Laboratory of the State University of Moldova.
2. World Intellectual Property Organization National Award for Inventors which was awarded to Ion Bulhac, doctor habilitate in chemical sciences; research lecturer, Head of the Coordinative Chemistry Laboratory of the State University of Moldova, inventor in the field of chemistry.
3. The team of inventors formed by Gheorghe Anghelici, Oleg Crudu, Serghei Pisarenco, Gheorghe Lupu, Andrei Grib from the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu” of the Republic of Moldova, received the AGEPI Grand Prix “Best Invention” , for the paper: Method of Portal Hypertension Reduction in Treatment of Patients with Liver Cirrhosis.
4. Trophy for “Best Invention Created by a Woman Inventor” went to Valeriana Pantea from the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”, for the invention in the field of medicine “Method for Assessing the Influence of Biologically Active Substances on Hydrogen Sulphide Production Capacity by a Biological Tissue”.
5. Trophy for " Best Invention Created by a Young Inventor” which was presented to 17-year-old Ebrahim Alsaliem, co-author of the innovations developed in collaboration with his medical parents.
6. Trophy for “Most Successful Plant Variety” was given to the Institute of Phytotechnics “Porumbeni” for the Porumbeni 230 corn hybrid, with authors such as Simion Musteata, Pantelimon Borozan, Valentina Spinu and others.
7. Trophy for “Most Representative Participation in the Exhibition” was presented to the State University of Moldova.
8. Trophy for “Best Creation of Youth” was awarded to the Technical University of Moldova for the work “Modular Electric Car” designed by Mircea Zubcu and Valeriu Podborschi.
9. Trophy for “Best Monograph” was awarded to the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the State University of Moldova for the monograph “The Art of Metals. Creative Portraits of Jewelers from the Second Half of the 20th Century - The Beginning of the 21st Century” by Dr. Hab. Liliana Kondraticova.
10. Trophy for “Best Innovation and Technology Transfer Project” was awarded to the Technical University of Moldova for the project “Heat Exchanger for Thermal Photovoltaic Panel” by Nicolae Covalenco, Mihai Tirsu and Ion Negura.
11. Trophy for “Best Research Project” was awarded to the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu” for the project “Multifocal Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in the Treatment of Migraine Patients” by Pavel Leahu and Stanislav Groppa.
12. Trophy for “Most Skilled Craftsman” was awarded to the Technological College of Chisinau for the collection of hand-embroidered globes by Maria and Madalina Manole.

The International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” took place from November 22 to 24, 2023 and was organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Culture, the National Agency for Research and Development and the National Insurance Agency of Quality in Education and Research.
During the event, almost 450 inventions, innovative projects and creative products were exhibited, the authors of which come from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, China, Poland, France, Malaysia, Taiwan, Cambodia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Switzerland, Ukraine and Belgium.
During the awards ceremony, the Commission of Experts and the Exhibition Jury awarded a total of 295 medals, of which 138 gold, 80 silver and 77 bronze, underlining the excellence and diversity of the innovations presented. Out of the total number of medals, 173 went to participants from the Republic of Moldova.
