AGEPI, partner of the Republican Contest of Plastic Arts and Crafts “The World Through the Eyes of Children”

The Gala of Laureates of the Republican Contest of Plastic Arts and Crafts “The World Through the Eyes of Children”, 12th edition, entitled “Ion Druta’s Work”, organized by the Republican Center for Children and Youth “ARTICO” took place today, 17 May, in Chisinau. The event aimed at promoting young talents by stimulating individuality in creation and plastic expression.

In the context of supporting and stimulating ideas of creativity, art and innovation, the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated as a partner of the contest. Present at the event, AGEPI Deputy Director General Andrei Popa warmly welcomed the participants, stressing the importance of supporting the creativity activities among young people and mentioned that this competition is a good platform for young people to promote their talent and originality.

At the award ceremony, AGEPI offered Diplomas of Mention and gifts for the following children: Ojog Ana, for the work “Leaves of Longing”, Ursachi Daniela, Ursachi Adriana, for the work “White Church”, Dragus Nicolet, for the work “Leaves of Longing” and Oprea Otilia, for the work “The Sledge”.

Also, for all the winning children of the contest, AGEPI offered a set of comic booklets, which can serve as a first foray into the world of intellectual property, encouraging children not only to create but also to know why and how they have to protect their creations.

More than 1,500 children, aged 7-21, participated in the contest. The judging of the works took place on April 19, 2019, and the works of the finalists were exhibited in the exhibition hall of the Republican Center for Children and Youth “ARTICO” on 17 May. The grand prix of the current edition of the Contest was given to Radu Cernopolc, a pupil of the Theoretical Lyceum “Petru Rares” in Soroca, for the work “Trofimas”, sculpture in wood and stone of Cosauti.
