The “Professional Engineering Competition” for young people, organized by the Republican Center for Children and Youth “ARTICO” took place on 31 March, in Chisinau. The event was aimed at developing engineering skills and creativity, improving teamwork skills, knowledge of job-specific tasks for young people aged 16-18 in lyceums and vocational schools.
In the context of supporting and stimulating ideas of creativity and innovation, the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated as a partner of the competition. Present at the event, AGEPI Deputy Director General Andrei Popa wished the participants a lot of success, emphasizing the importance of supporting research activities among young people and mentioned that this competition is a good platform for young people to exchange ideas.
In the competition participated 6 teams, of 4-5 members each, students from lyceums, colleges or vocational schools who, for eight hours, tested their creativity and innovative spirit, developing the prototype of a device from various materials offered by the organizers. During the competition, the young people also had a fair organized by volunteer, personal development, 3D printing, robotics organizations, etc.
Finally, each team presented its developed project, and the jury, consisting of representatives of the organizers and partners, chose the winner, in accordance with the competition rules.
