In the period 20-22 February 2015, in Balti was held the nineteenth edition of the specialized Expo-Fairs “AGROTEH”, “Alimentar Expo” and salon “Martisor” (tenth edition) organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic Moldova, Balti branch. Present at this event, AGEPI has developed a series of activities in the field of promotion and dissemination of information about the national intellectual property system, such as: display of useful information in the field at the exhibition stand of the AGEPI, providing consultancy in the field and participation in the round table organized during the event.

In the round table, which was moderated by Mrs. Galina Codita, director of the CCI Balti branch, were discussed current topics of interest to farmers, peasant households, economic agents in the agro-food sector of the country, specialists in the agriculture sector, representatives of LPA, NGOs and mass media. The program of the roundtable also covered the communication “Industrial Design - From Creation to Innovative Products” presented by senior specialist of the AGEPI Promotion and Publishing Department - Alina Fodea, the communication included general information about the industrial design, the goals pursued by the design, the categories of industrial designs that can be registered, the advantages of their registration. A keen interest for participants aroused the success stories regarding the exploitation of the registered industrial design, and how to access online and free of charge the national databases in the field of intellectual property, including DB in the field of industrial designs in order to achieve some preliminary searches for the design interested (http://www.db.agepi.md/DMI/Search.aspx).

The Expo-Fair was organized to support domestic producers: farmers, peasant households; to promote products, goods, qualitative and competitive services on domestic and foreign markets and to establish new business relationships. The event was attended by about 70 economic agents in the Chisinau and Balti municipalities, in the Sangerei, Falesti, Glodeni, Rascani, Ungheni districts, towns Ceadar-Lunga, Cimislia, Criuleni, Ialoveni and Straseni have also exhibited their works, by craftsmen from Balti and neighboring districts. The current edition also included presentations by companies and of new equipment, tasting of products, workshops and bilateral dialogues.
