The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on April 18, this year, in online format, in the roundtable entitled “Digital Transformation: Intellectual Property and High-Tech Trends”, organized by the Management and Entrepreneurship Department of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM).

The purpose of participating in the roundtable was to familiarize the masters of the course Innovation and Change Management, Digital Business Management faculty, with the role of intellectual property in the development of innovations and the importance of ensuring a solid protection of intellectual property rights.

During the event, Andrei Moisei, Principal Consultant in the Communication and Training Division, Communication and International Relations Department of AGEPI, brought to the attention of the masters the practical aspects related to the purpose of protection of intellectual property objects, the principles and procedures for obtaining such protection, and ways of managing and enforcing intellectual property rights. The meeting ended with a question and answer session.

The event is part of the list of activities dedicated to World Intellectual Property Day, celebrated annually on April 26. This year’s theme is “Intellectual Property and Youth - Innovating for a Better Future”.

We remind you that, in April 2011, AGEPI and AESM concluded a Cooperation Agreement which provides for the promotion of intellectual property by training the most qualified specialists in the field in the process of training and improvement of AESM professors and students.
