In the period 12-14 October this year, in the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, was held the International Invention Show “IWIS-2015”, ninth edition. The event, one of the biggest in Europe related to innovation and inventiveness, was organized by the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers, Polish Patent Office and the Warsaw University of Technology, under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Bronislaw Komorowski, International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) and European Inventors’ Association (EIA).
This year’s edition of the Show “IWIS” brought together inventors and researchers from over 20 countries. Participants exhibited for the appreciation of visitors, but also the international jury, more than 300 inventions, industrial designs and innovation projects. The works were presented in over 20 categories ranging from ecology and environmental protection by engineering, construction, electronics and textile and chemical industry, up to innovative medical solutions. The exhibition program also included roundtables and seminars on intellectual property and acquisition of patents.
State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova participated with an exhibition stand, during which it presented the national IP system, distributed promotional materials and promoted the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”, fourteenth edition.
AGEPI awarded gold medals to the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology of Poland and the Institute of Oil and Gas of Poland for the presented inventions. Also, for the development and promotion of the innovation system and the scientific potential, AGEPI awarded a gold medal to the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA).
At the same time, in the International Invention Show “IWIS” in Poland also participated, with an exhibition stand, the State University of Moldova. The works of the national inventors were appreciated with medals.
International Invention Show “IWIS” is an event that every year attracts more and more participants both from the research academic environment, universities and colleges, as well as entrepreneurs from various fields. Over the years, the exhibition has presented and promoted to the general public thousands of inventions of both inventors of Poland and from abroad.
