In the period from August 31 to September 3, 2013, State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated with an informational stand in the 22nd edition of the International Book Fair, organized by the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Youth and Sports. The event was held under the patronage of the UNESCO National Commission and of the First Lady of the Republic of Moldova Margareta Timofti.
At the current edition of the Fair were presented over 6000 book titles, published in 20 countries, including Romania, USA, UK, Turkey, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland, Tajikistan, etc.
The International Book Fair program included workshops, a roundtable dedicated to the current editorial policies, book graphics exhibitions, painting and ex-libris, a translation workshop with international participation, a creative evening of the tenor Mihai Munteanu, People’s Artist of the Republic of Moldova.
At the stand of the Publishing Department of AGEPI were presented the official publications of the Agency, as well as a series of publications to popularize knowledge on various aspects of intellectual property published this year: “National Report on the Enforcement of IP in RM, 2012”, “Copyright and Related Rights”, “Jubilee Collection: State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova 20 years”, “Owners of Short-Term Patents Granted in RM 2009-2012”, “How to Register Geographical Indications, Appellations of Origin and Traditional Specialties Guaranteed in RM”, “Investment and Profit with Intellectual Property: Guide for SMEs”, etc.
The Fair culminated in the Gala of Laureates, in which were awarded the best publishers and book titles. It was also announced the Top “The Most Read 10 Books of 2012”.
Publishing Department of AGEPI won the Prize “Copyright” for publications present in the Fair.
