On August 19, 2005, owing to torrential rains and debacle of lacustrine dams in settlement Gratiesti, there was a flooding of territories and basements adjoining to the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI). The serious damage was suffered archival depository, printing-house, medical aid point, warehouse and garage. The damage amounts 6 million Lei. AGEPI expresses gratitude and thankfulness to Department on Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova as well as Riscani district administration for assistance rendered in evacuation of water filled basements of the Agency.
