In the period from 27 to 30 March 2012, within the premises of the Complex “Expo-Transilvania” in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, was held the tenth anniversary edition of the International Exhibition of Research, Innovation and Inventiveness “PRO INVENT-2012”.
The event was organized by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Cluj and “Expo Transilvania” JSC from Cluj, under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the National Authority for Scientific Research.
Exhibition partners were the Academy of Technical Sciences of Romania, Cluj branch, State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI), Romanian Inventors Forum, State Office for Inventions and Trademarks of Romania (OSIM), Inventors Society of Romania, Transylvania branch.
The tenth anniversary edition of the Exhibition was attended by 81 universities, institutes and research stations, associations and inventors from Romania, Hungary, Iran, France, Republic of Moldova, which exhibited more than 400 inventions from a wide range of activity fields.
Traditionally, Republic of Moldova participated this year with a large delegation which included representatives of AGEPI AITT, SUMP “N. Testemitanu”, TUM, SUM, and Institute of Chemistry of the ASM.
During the three days of works of the Exhibition was held a series of events that pursued their aim to provide a favorable environment for inventors to make their inventions known and establish useful contacts for establishing partnerships. Also, in the Exhibition was presented the “Dictionary of Contemporary Romanian Inventors”, 3rd volume; the Education Program in the Field of Innovation Management “Pro Inova”; the workshop entitled: “Stimulating the National Development and EU cooperation through Transfer of Innovative Technologies and Ideas”, organized by INCDO-INOE 2000, ICIA Cluj-Napoca branch; the Stock of Inventions (meetings of researchers, innovators and inventors with potential users - presentation of technologies and products).
State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova participated in the Exhibition with an information stand dedicated to the national IP system. However, AGEPI awarded three medals and a cup: Bod Ádám, candidate for master’s degree, from the University of Fine Arts in Cluj-Napoca (for models of interactive lamps which forms can be modified, these being products manufactured from a flexible plastic); another medal was awarded to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hatieganu” (for the invention: “Nanopowders of hydroxyapatite and its substituted derivatives used for medical purposes and process for manufacturing thereof”); the National Research and Development Institute for machines and installations for agriculture and food industry-INMA Bucharest was awarded the AGEPI medal (for “Equipment for planting forest seedlings in tilled soil”), and the AGEPI Cup was handed to the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca for outstanding contributions to promoting inventiveness and supporting inventors from the Republic of Moldova.
Inventors from the Republic of Moldova have been appreciated with 8 gold, 4 - silver, 3 - bronze medals and 3 special prizes. Grand Prix of the International Exhibition of Research, Innovation and Inventiveness “PRO INVENT” was awarded to the Technical University of Moldova for a series of inventions in the field of renewable energy. Grand Jury Prize was given, post-mortem, to Professor, Dr. of Engineering Ioan Pop, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, former president of SIR Transylvania Branch, Romania.
AGEPI was awarded the Gold Medal of the Exhibition for the support and promotion of national inventors at the exhibitions of inventiveness in Romania.
