The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) is launching, from 1 March to 26 April 201, a photo contest on “Women Who Inspire”.
The aim of the contest is to highlight the important role that women have in today’s innovation and creativity, as well as to conduct activities dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day, which is traditionally celebrated on April 26.
Both amateur and professional photographers are invited to participate. Participation is free and there is no age limit. The picture should fit into the theme: “Women Who Inspire” and represent a personal and original creation of the author. Each participant can upload up to 3 photos.
The pictures must be sent to e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org, by April 1, 2018. Please indicate the photo title, the photographer’s name and the phone number in the e-mail.
Photographs submitted must meet the following requirements:
- Files in format: JPG, JPEG
- Image resolution: 200-300 dpi
- File size: maximum 5MB
From 10 to 23 April 2018, all the images presented by the participants will be placed in a special album dedicated to the contest on the official Facebook page of AGEPI. The number of distributions, comments and likes will be taken into account in the evaluation of the works by the members of the Organizing Committee. Also, the analysis of images will be taken into account its originality, creativity and representativeness in relation to the proposed theme.
AGEPI has the right to use the photos submitted for this contest for non-commercial promotional purposes (publication on the website, social networks, etc.) without the photographer’s notification and/or remuneration.
In total, 3 winners will be selected, who will receive certificates of participation and cash prizes from AGEPI in the amount of 1500 lei, 1000 lei and 500 lei, respectively.
The contest totals will be announced on April 26, during the event dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day.
The theme of the World Intellectual Property Day 2018 is: Powering Change: Women in Innovation and Creativity. Within the campaign dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated the brilliance, ingenuity, curiosity and courage of the women who, through their work, are driving change in our world and shaping our common future.
World Intellectual Property Day is marked since 2000, and April 26 represents the day on which the Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization (1970) entered into force.
